Meet The Founders

John Henry

I have more than 20 years experience in the food service field.  By using both my education and my extensive experience, I have been consistently successful in creating and maintaining stable and profitable programs. 

My experience covers all areas of food management:  I have worked as part of a management company, and operated a district-directed program.  I have been the Food Service Director for Rockford Public Schools since 1993.  Before that, I was the Food Service Director for Wayland Union Schools and University of Michigan, Flint.  I graduated from Ferris State University in 1986 with a B.S. in Hospitality Management and Marketing.

Over the years, I have seen many concepts and tools. Together we can create new ideas and strategies to make your school’s food service program more efficient and cost-effective.

Jon Kramer

I have been in the technology field over 25 years.  Throughout this time I have always had a customer-centered role.  Whether it is improving business processes, developing an application, or managing a project, the customer is key.  I look for ways to merge technology with business objectives to make people more effective.

After graduating from Shepherd College in 1989, I started working for a Project Management firm outside Washington DC supporting project management software used on large government projects.  Moving forward, I worked for a small four-person consulting company on a government contract supporting and developing the agency's infrastructure management system.  From there I began working for Fairfax County Public Schools supporting all aspects of the Human Resources Department.  In January 2000, I relocated to Michigan and began work at Meijer supporting their in-store wireless infrastructure, wireless applications, and managing their POS deployments.  I then found myself managing Rockford Public Schools information systems, including Food Service where I met John. Together we saw the issues facing food service management.  We want to assist K-12 school districts operating a district-directed meal program with the goal of increasing their bottom line.

My philosophy is basic and simple... take care of the customer.  I hope you find that what KH Services offers will provide you with success and that my philosophy holds true.
